The grammar in the statement on her official website is pretty horrifying. Between the heavy-handed use of ellipsis and exclamation points, random capitalization, and poor syntax, I could probably write a book on it. Nonetheless, it was probably transcribed by some member of the staff who sadly doesn’t know any better. Besides, Sarah Palin has a Bachelor’s in journalism. Surely she knows better than that, right? Right? 

The statement was indeed “incoherent, bizarre and juvenile,” but what’s even more baffling is that this woman is so self-obsessed that she considers such a verbose and superfluous speech necessary. That verbal diarrhea she spewed at her measly audience was not just a joke; it was a waste of time. Get up, say your piece, and get out. But she felt it necessary to talk about the history of Alaska, basketball, and, of course, her children. As much as she says she’s against it, making an unnecessarily big deal about her resignation and bringing up the attacks on your baby is “politics as usual” in the world of Sarah Palin. Just go away already.

Besides, it doesn’t really matter what you said or how you said it, Sarah Palin, you’re still going to end up next to Jacko on the front cover of US Weekly with rumors of affairs, pregnancy, and who knows what else.
